To ensure a balance of both urban renewal and residential/commercial growth, BWG implemented a Downtown Community Improvement Plan with a mandate of encouraging infill development and business improvements. The original Downtown CIP was approved in 2011 and ran until 2021. A new Downtown CIP has been approved in 2022.
