The Office of Economic Development would like to thank the Bradford Board of Trade for partnering with the Town to host the Mayor’s Annual Business Breakfast today. Thank you to the staff at The Club at Bond Head for hosting and catering this great event and thank you to Costa Entertainment for the great audio and video support.

The 2024 Mayor’s Annual Business Breakfast hosted 90 members of the business community for a complimentary breakfast, and provided an opportunity to hear about Council’s vision to support community safety, improve infrastructure, stimulate the economy, provide more downtown amenities and create new leisure opportunities. Attendees heard remarks from Donna Katz, President of the BBT, who spoke of their partnership with the Town to support our business community. They heard from Geoff McKnight, Town CAO, on staff’s commitment to assisting delivery of Council’s core objectives, including new staff hired to help enact this vision. They also heard from Mahesh Ramdeo, newly-hired Deputy CAO of the Town, on his vision for streamlining development applications to help ‘get projects done’ expediently.

The Keynote Address was delivered by Major James Leduc, who spoke of the many infrastructure projects delivered in 2024, including arterial and local road reconstruction, new traffic safety initiatives, new investments in parks and leisure services, an update of the facilities at 177 Church Street, plans for a new Business Catalyst Centre and plans for a consolidated Town Hall.

The event finished with a one-hour networking opportunity, allowing attendees one-on-one time to chat with the Mayor and senior managers.

Thank you to all who attended!
