Mayor James Leduc spoke to a packed house this morning at The Club at Bond Head as part of the first Annual Mayor’s Business Breakfast held since the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Mayor’s Annual Business Breakfast is organized by the Office of Economic Development and was first held in 2007. In addition to the Mayor’s address, this year’s program featured speeches by CAO Geoff McKnight, Director of Planning and Development Peter Loukes, Manager of Planning Alan Wiebe and Economic Development Marketing Coordinator Michael Kemp. Economic Development Manager Michael Disano was Master of Ceremonies.
Mayor Leduc’s central messages were respect for the taxpayer, a commitment to open and ongoing dialogue, working to accommodate the needs of a growing and diversifying community and finding efficiencies in all aspects of the corporation. He discussed Council’s commitment to making critical investments in roads, parks and a new Town Hall/Administrative Centre.
Mayor Leduc finished his comments with a reveal of the Town’s new website, and the return of the Mayor and Council Golf Tournament, which will take place at The Club at Bond Head on June 16.
The Office of Economic Development offers special thanks to the staff at the Club at Bond Head and the Bradford Board of Trade who participated as partners in the event.
