On Wednesday, December 15, Members of Town Council, the BWG Office of Economic Development, the Simcoe County Office of Economic Development, representatives from MP Scot Davidson and MPP Caroline Mulroney’s office and members of the Bradford Board of Trade (BBT) all convened at MiTek Canada’s new 240,000 square foot headquarters at Highway 400 & 88 to present the Bradford Board of Trade 2021 Economic Development award to MiTek President Dave Cattapan.
Deputy Mayor James Leduc spoke on behalf of the Town, noting “for many years, MiTek Canada has proven itself a manufacturing leader, a global success story and excellent corporate citizen. As a successful and trusted supplier of products and services to the building industry, your name is synonymous with excellence, and it is a privilege to have you here in Bradford West Gwillimbury.”
The Economic Development Award recognizes business excellence and outstanding economic and community contributions of a large-scale company in Bradford West Gwillimbury. It is the only award one chosen solely by Town Council. MiTek’s new building, which allowed it to consolidate operations and expand its manufacturing capacity, made it an attractive candidate, to which Deputy Mayor Leduc further noted, “despite a strong field of contenders, your proven success made Council’s selection of MiTek Canada a clear and unanimous decision.”
Congratulations MiTek Canada!
