The Holland Marsh is often referenced as “Ontario’s Salad Bowl” for the wealth of fresh vegetables that are harvested there. Fresh produce has always been associated with BWG, and on Saturday, September 26, residents were treated to the arrival of a bounty of fresh vegetables, fruits, baked goods and crafts at the new Holland Marsh Pop-up Harvest Market, in the heart of downtown.
Mayor Rob Keffer, members of Council, the Bradford Board of Trade and the Office of Economic Development were all on-hand to congratulate owner Liz Gorzo on bringing the pop-up market to fruition. Gorzo was trilled at the opportunity to highlight the marsh, the work of local farmers as well as showcase produce from other growing areas across Ontario.
The Holland Marsh Pop-up Harvest Market is located at 5 Holland Street West. It will operate:
- Tuesday, Thursday & Friday-11:00 am to 6:30 pm
- Saturday-9:00 am-5:00 pm
- Sunday-11:00 am-4:00 pm
- Closed Monday and Wednesday
